Professional Background Carmen serves as President of Summit Media Partners, LLC, which provides strategic and operational consulting services to newspapers. From 1992 to 1996, she consulted with a Swiss firm providing services to automotive clients in lean manufacturing and value chain management. In her early career she led product management organizations in the computer business, and held positions in international marketing and technical sales support. Carmen has served as a faculty member at Linkage, Inc.’s Global Institute for Leadership Development (GILD) for eleven years. She holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She volunteers as a firefighter in her community, and with Friendship Bridge, raising capital for micro-credit loans that help Mayan women develop entrepreneurial businesses in Guatemala. Clients Carmen’s clients include The United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh, The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, The TriZetto Group, Association for Corporate Growth, GMAC Commercial Holdings, Boys' and Girls' Clubs of America, The St. Petersburg Times, The San Diego Union-Tribune, Ford Motor Company of Europe and Latin America, Landmark Communications, and Al Medina Newspaper of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. At GILD, she has coached executives from numerous healthcare, real estate, energy, biotech, pharma, insurance, non-profit, and IT organizations. |
